At Regions, our Instructional Designer position will support our internal clients by performing project management and executing the full ADDIE cycle of instructional design including consulting with clients on training needs analysis, identification of potential instructional strategies, selection and design of optimum solutions(s) and deliverables, development and implementation of training programs and evaluation of training effectiveness.

Job Functions:

· Perform various analyses to identify training needs for business unit clients

· Develop behavioral (primary type) and other supportive training objectives

· Design and develop training deliverables to meet objectives

· Develop assessments to measure learning

· Coordinate with business unit clients to ensure successful completion and satisfaction

· Evaluate training effectiveness

· Maintain/update developed courses and other training materials

Specific Experience Preferred:

· Design and development of training content for multiple delivery mediums:

o Instructor-led (facilitator/participant guides, slide presentations, etc.)

o Paper-based (job aids, self study guides, etc.)

o Web-based (storyboarding, Captivate, live and recorded WebEx, etc.)

o Rich media (Audio, video, animation sequences, etc.)

· Design and development of training content employing a wide range of learning strategies that vary the way associates acquire new knowledge and skills such as:

o Simulations and practice

o Rich media (audio, video, animation)

o Live demonstration

o Small group discussions

o Facilitation

o Feedback

· Banking and business environment

Other Desired Skills:

· Ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal) with associates at all levels of the organization

· Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects

Specific Technical Skills Preferred:

· Microsoft Office Professional Suite (2007 or 2010)

· Adobe Acrobat Professional

· Captivate

· SnagIt

· Audacity, Adobe Premiere, or other audio/video capture and manipulation software

Education Desired but Not Required:

· Bachelors or Masters Degree in Instructional Design or Instructional Technology;

· Bachelors Degree in Education or Adult Education;

· Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Instructional Design or transferable skills
