Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. Focuses on assurance in the area of error rates, response times and impact to infrastructure. Performs integration, stress, load and performance testing to validate production readiness of software applications and infrastructure for stability and performance. Develops and executes test scripts to automate functional and client-side testing of distributed applications. Supports testing needs of new projects, infrastructure upgrades and application enhancements by validating application functionality against documented test cases.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related technical field.

Two to four years experience in test automation, performance, stress / load, and automated functional regression testing. At least one year of experience in software application design and development.

Must demonstrate, based on previous experience and current skill sets -- the ability to design, develop, and implement complex testing solutions for regression, load, stress, and performance testing of enterprise software applications. Should have good knowledge of software architecture, system integration, testing methodologies, and frameworks.

Software development experience in C, C , C#, or Java is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with HP QTP / UFT or a similar regression testing tool is required.

This test engineer will be working with a small team of engineers supporting the regression and performance testing needs of multiple enterprise applications.
