A prominent international hitech company in Woodbridge seeks a Controller.
The Controller will be involved in the following duties:
Perform as a hands-on, "working manager" as well as a strategic thinker.
Oversee the finance, accounting, and purchasing functions,
including setting goals and budgets, and initiating and
approving changes to policies and procedures.
Advise the CEO and collaborate with the executive team on
operational matters, e.g., pricing, compensation plans,
budgets, mergers, acquisitions, debt, leasing, and equity
financing, etc
Supervise and assist the Assistant Controller in carrying out
their responsibilities in managing the finance, accounting, and purchasing functions, e.g., financial reporting and policies,
project costing, credit, insurance, tax, payroll, treasury,
audit, and SAS 70 compliance and reporting.
Strengthen accounting reporting systems and fiduciary controls
to provide timely, accurate information in support of
management decisions.
Manage and develop the team to achieve high levels of
productivity and morale in a manner that encourages creativity
and a better understanding of the business.
Represent the Company with outside parties, including clients,
prospects, suppliers, alliance partners, auditors, banks,
investors, and leasing company.
Obtain outside debt, leasing, and equity financing for the
Company, as required.
Manage special projects, e.g., implementing process and systems improvements.
