Our client is a globally recognized brand and they are looking to expand their benefit accounting team by hiring a Manager of Technical Accounting to supervise and research benefit accounting issues. If you are hired for this Manager of Technical Accounting position, you will report to a Senior Manager and be responsible for helping to manage the worldwide accounting & reporting of benefit and pension obligations and assets exceeding $10 Billion. You will help establish accounting policies, interpret complex labor issues, and managing the monthly accounting entries for US pensions, analysis and reconciliation's. Additionally you will help to analyze and write technical white papers for proposed and new accounting standards, lead corporate wide policy, and adaptation. This Manager of Technical Accounting position is responsible for monitoring business unit financial activities, and helping to provide reporting guidance in accordance with GAAP. The position will also help analyze unusual transactions (terminations/retirement programs, plant closings, divestitures, benefit guarantees; consolidating analyzing and preparing quarterly footnote disclosures and providing Sarbanes Oxley 404 testing; forecast pension and benefit expenses, assist with publishing financial's and filing of form 5500, and other projects as directed.
