The Vons Division’s Loss Prevention Department has an opening for Loss Prevention Investigator I. This position will service the Greater San Diego area.

Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:
•Retail Loss Prevention experience a must!
•2+ Years College and 2-4 years additional experience in field, required.
•5 years experience in retail store work or law enforcement.
•Experience conducting in-depth criminal and civil investigations.
•Proven ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
•Strong ability to interview witnesses and suspects, testify in legal actions, union hearings, and unemployment hearings.
•Strong ability to train warehouse personnel on security matters.
•Ability to handle diverse situations.
•High degree of initiative and motivation.
•Great people skills. Focusing on building relationships.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Receive/initiate investigations on employee theft, vendor theft, and inventory/warehouse shortage.
•Interview suspects and witnesses and prepare in-depth reports on all investigations.
•Testify in a variety of hearings and court actions.
•Assist law enforcement with investigations and prosecutions.
•Provide adequate securing of all company assets and property. Assure security best practices are adhere to.
•Supervise contract guard service in assigned areas.

Salary: Actual beginning salary will be based on the responsibilities of the job and the candidate's experience.
