Description:
Mental Health Worker shall systematically and logically assess the functional health patterns, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of the patient. Participates in daily living routines; guides
the patient in establishing and maintaining good health and promoting socially desirable habits regarding personal hygiene, grooming, mealtime behavior, leisure time activities and
interaction with peers and staff. Conducts patient contraband searches according to policy and procedure. Encourages, observes and documents patients participation in recreational and daily living activities. Displays ability to recognize deviations in patient's condition physically or mentally and reports to Charge Nurse immediately. Works in conjunction with A.T. in providing
diversional and treatment activities appropriate to the patient's needs and capabilities.
