Description
Description This position is primarily intended to supplement and substitute for the Foreman in order to provide supervision for a process that is critical
and continual. This position is responsible for ensuring reasonably frequent and accurate reporting of the critical phases of the
drilling/maintenance process so that higher level of Management can make appropriate decisions. Performs maintenance/operational duties
as may be necessary for safety and performance efficiency.
Requirements Should have had at least eleven (11) years experience in drilling operations.

BS
degree in Engineering, should have at least five (5) years in drilling operations after graduation.
Qualified rotary driller with eleven years experience and training as Assistant Foreman or in similar capacity.
Not applicable but basic work Arabic very helpful.
Willing to work in shift and live under trailer camp conditions (onshore or offshore). Must have valid drivers license.

Responsibilities Performs the managerial function common the segment level. These functions and operational functions of the Foreman are performed
supplementary and complementary to the Foreman as necessary to provide adequate supervision to the round-the-clock drilling operation.
Checks to insure that operations are running on schedule and that mechanical difficulties and equipment breakdowns are remedied with a
minimum of lost time. Anticipates and acts to avoid emergency situations but copes with any that arise.
Supervises the performance and/or use of special or new drilling techniques and tools which may be on trial or infrequently used in
connection with such problems as lost circulation, cementing, testing, coring, etc.
Arranges for representatives of service organizations to be available to perform their special jobs at
the proper time.
Follows accident reporting procedure, investigates rig accidents, insures that injured personnel are adequately provided for and that
remedial steps are taken to avoid recurrence.
Observes safety and housekeeping methods of the crew. Stops and corrects any unsafe practices which may have developed and to
enforce standards of good housekeeping.
Trains Saudi Arab Rotary Drillers who are in steps leading to the whole job and assists those in the full job in obtaining better quality or
more efficient response from special drilling tools, techniques, etc., by demonstrating, advising and/or ordering changes in bit weights,
rotation speeds, pump pressure crew allocation or utilization, etc.
Reviews Rotary Drillers tour reports, making any required changes, to insure the accuracy of this permanent, key record.
