DescriptionDescription A Chief Financial Officer is required to join the Saudi Aramco Entrepreneurship Center (Wa'ed) of New Business Development.
New Business Development is responsible for creating new business opportunities for the company while also contributing to the Kingdom's economic growth. Our past successes have focused on the development of mega-projects in Refining and Petrochemicals. Today, we are now focusing on pursuing initiatives seeking more ambitious contributions to the Kingdom's economic development, which will also enhance the company's operations. New Business Development offers the successful applicant a unique workplace to further expand commercial and professional skills underpinned by a strong commitment to training and personal development. The Corporate Financial Officer's primary role is to manage Wa'ed's accounting, financial, and fiscal activities. The applicant should possess significant relevant experience within one or more industries, which will allow the applicant to be considered a subject matter expert for that industry. Strong interpersonal skills are required to enable the applicant to engage both other internal organizations supporting the work, external organizations that provide key support and incentives to realize the opportunity as well as the investor(s). The applicant should have demonstrated strong financial analytical skills that include the ability to evaluate both industry and individual company information. The applicant should also have demonstrated the ability to then translate the analysis results into strategies to develop new business opportunities and then plan and execute the work to realize the identified opportunity, and be willing to travel and relocate when the job dictates so. Requirements As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or its equivalent. A graduate degree is desirable as well as any advance professional competence evidenced by professional licenses and/or other forms of continuing professional education. - A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a related financial institution or lending firm with investment experience, including knowledge of the different financial markets, asset valuation and portfolio management experience and 5+ years of experience in managing people and projects. - MBA and/or CFA or CPA certification preferable. - Any type of recognition as a subject matter expert in finance and in the area of venturing, commercialization or other areas of business development specialization. - Proficient in oral and written English. Some command of Arabic is beneficial but not mandatory. Responsibilities The candidate will be required to perform the following: 1. Manage and monitor adherence to accounting policies and procedures, fiscal accounting, venture valuation, etc. 2. Manage financial operations of subsidiary companies. 3. Manage and prepare financial statements on a quarter, semi-annual and annual basis, including financial performance indicators and relevant progress monitoring. 4. Develop financial strategies that are related to operations. 5. Oversee/monitor the financial transaction processing systems. 6. Implement financial operation best practices. 7. Arrange for debt and equity financing. 8. Manage the capital requests and coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets and budgeting processes. 9. Train the Finance staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters. 10. Monitor banking activities of the organization. 11. Monitor cash balances, cash forecasts, and ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs. 12. Ensure adequate controls and record keeping are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available to pass independent and governmental audits. 13. Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations. 14. Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization, including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational budgets and report financial results to the managing director. 15.
