Title: Director Supply Chain Support

Position Description:
· Set objectives and develop initiatives for Distribution Support staff department directors and managers. Supervise individuals responsible for those departments. Direct, train, evaluate, counsel, and motivate those individuals and their respective staff.
· Work with directors of all departments outside distribution on process improvement initiatives, improving communications, and current issue resolution of higher-level problems requiring that level of decision making.
· Support VP Distribution in business analysis, budgeting, strategic planning, process improvement, business development, new store growth, employee relations, staffing, training, policy and procedure development and distribution network development.
· Travel to all individual operating distribution centers to assist VP Distribution and the responsible Regional Director of Distribution in oversight of those operations. Specifically, perform operational inspections & analysis and facilitate complex problem resolution.
· Work with the VP Distribution to select and plan for new DC Locations. Monitor Safety Programs, customer service programs, recycling programs, DC service programs.

Qualifications/Skills:
· A minimum of 10 years of job-related experience in supply chain management and logistics. Multi-site management experience and experience in management of a high volume distribution center required.
· Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering preferred. Microsoft Project Training and Lean Six Sigma training preferred.
· Ability to handle multiple duties in a fast paced environment
· Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Frequent travel (multi-day trips). Approximately 30% travelnull
