POSITION OVERVIEW SCA Americas Product Supply business is currently searching for Resource Support Team (RST)Leaders in various US locations. The RST Lead role will drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity and a reduction in defective goods and costs to achieve world class manufacturing principles and practices by providing direct management of the respective area DOM meetings and ensuring issues are raised and addressed daily using the tools available. The organizational focus of Product Supply is “To be the best” by improving the competitiveness of the Mills toward the target of being the safest, most efficient and lowest cost operations, achieved in large part by working with teams to implement Manufacturing excellence initiatives. The RST Lead has overall responsibility for department results concerning safety, quality, throughput, costs and productivity. Incumbent's ongoing awareness of department status in each of these areas enables effective priority and daily direction setting for direct and indirect resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Lead and promote HSER practices within Shift/Line Crews.
  • Ensure all system requirements are practiced for the management of HSER Hazards Incidents
  • Actively work with and support the RST structure
  • Develop and deliver implementation programs that ensure operators are aware of and comply with any process changes
  • Actively engage with the operators
  • Highlight operators not complying to performance and behavior standards and escalate as appropriate Identify any operator skill gaps and provide or recommend training
  • Provide coaching and mentoring support to the RST and Crew/Line Teams to achieve the team and their individual goals
  • Contribute to the development of the annual budget
  • Support Shift Managers to ensure compliance with any Return To Work plans
  • Perform other essential responsibilities as deemed necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or other related engineering field preferred.
  • Five (5) years of production leadership experience.
  • Strong sense of urgency and teamwork
  • Strong communication, scheduling and organizing skills Proven ability in managing others as well as influencing and building partnerships
  • Ability to lead teams through change and improvement Leadership experience with a customer focus on industrial reliability
  • Proven knowledge and track record in world class maintenance safety processes
  • Knowledge of industrial mechanical equipment
  • Ability to work and communicate with outside resources: OEM representatives, vendors, contractors, service companies
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis skills Personal computer skills, especially Maintenance Management software, e.g. Passport, Excel, Word, Outlook
