The Business Analyst Multichannel is responsible for supporting cross-channel sales and fulfillment/operations for Sears Holdings. The ideal candidate will be analytical and process-driven, using data as the basis for action. . This position will be responsible for supporting initiatives to improve existing processes, business performance analysis, and the identification and execution of opportunities for improvement within the Multi Channel (Web to Store/ Store to Home) business. Overall, the individual will be an active part of an organization focused on innovative business architecture design, operational execution, and channel integration. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver with a bias for action and the practical solution, which generate quantifiable results. He/she must possess strong communication skills, an innate attention to detail, and analytic aptitude to identify and pursue emerging opportunities. A customer focus with a desire to deliver superior service is a must. Business Analysis/ Execution • Analyze Multi Channel business, draw insights, and identify business and/or customer experience opportunities • Work collaboratively across groups to gain alignment and drive issues to resolution that negatively impact the Multichannel business • Identify root-causes, develop and implement business processes to ensure sustained improvement • Identify outlier performance and partner with channel managers to engage stores & associates to improve results • Develop and execute integrated multi channel sales and fulfillment measurement tools • Define and document key requirements for reporting needs and Multichannel initiatives that come from analysis • Support the business by gathering data, developing key reports, applying analysis methods, and synthesizing conclusions into actions New Initiative Development • Be an active participant in emerging opportunity development ensuring that the proper measurement capabilities are identified and tracked against benchmarks or standards • Translate operational requirements into defined analytics and reporting requirements for new capabilities • Develop business models to support concept definition and expansion • Assess risks and monitor quality of execution and processes Business Management and Support • Measure performance of Multichannel selling channels and drive improvements where opportunities exist • Assist Multichannel team in responding to diverse ad hoc tasks and executing business initiatives • Participate in developing and maintaining processes, best practices, and templates relating to business management and analysis • Identify current gaps in performance management tools and processes, and design solutions • Build strong relationships across the company and work closely with individuals to gain an understanding of end to end business processes and associated data • Develop, maintain and enhance current reporting and analysis processes that help achieve business goals • Identify and implement change initiatives that improve workflow and productivity • Contribute to and implement overall corporate business strategies KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To be successful in this role: • Ability to thrive within a fast paced, data centric, analytically driven environment dealing with multiple assignments concurrently • Ability to segment and organize complex data sets for interpretation and action • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite preferred, and experience with using Business Intelligence tools such as Business Objects, Micro Strategy, and SQL in an online or retail environment a plus • Prior business analysis experience in a large size highly matrixed company preferred • Strong organizational and communication skills A comprehensive and competitive benefit program is designed to meet the needs of our associates and their families.
