Essential Functions • Technical analysis & estimation of business requirements • Delivery of commitments within timelines and quality parameters. • Provide support to PM on project planning, prioritizing and tracking • Respond to the production issues and coordinate with stakeholders and external teams to arrive at solutions • Understand, deploy and adhere to quality processes and guide the team. • Manage multiple competing priorities and changing requirements. • Facilitate meetings and communicate progress, action items etc to the stakeholders. • Hands-on coding will be an integral part of the daily responsibilities (up to 80%). • Develop applications and web site solutions using Java, XML, REST, AJAX, Spring, Hibernate and other web technologies • Drive innovation and new ideas that help us improve our customer experience • Work in an agile environment (Some XP practices). Core practices include pair programming (when necessary), test-driven development, continuous integration, small release cycles, and collective code ownership. • Lead and mentor other developers in coding complex technical solutions • Ability to prioritize work and help them team assess impacts to timelines • Unit and system testing of application code, as well as execution of implementation activities • Analysis and identification of technical areas of improvement within existing web applications • Participate in technology forums and industry user groups • Help research and recommend open-source and other technology frameworks that can drive innovation and differentiation for our web products Relationship Management • Take a leadership role in solutioning. Apply development team to collaborate on good object oriented designs & architectural considerations in designing solutions. • Build relationships with business clients and act as liaison between the business & development team. • Mentor other team members related to business and technical expertise. • Strong leadership capabilities, communication skills & client facing skills.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform essential functions: 1. Passion for the customer experience and technology 2. Customer Facing eCommerce, Social Media or Gaming experience is a must 3. Prior experience with continuous delivery preferred 4. Experience in Build Management Tool like Maven 5. Strong in writing SQLs, Spring MVC, JSP, Javascript, JQuery 6. Extensive Experience with frameworks including Spring, Struts 2.0, Hibernate and SiteMesh 7. Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus — especially in the areas of writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable code 8. Deep understanding of web services software architectural and design issues. 9. Extensive work experience with MySQL and MongoDB 10. Working Knowledge of SOLR or similar preferred 11. Works well in a collaborative, agile development environment. 12. Experience leading team of 8-10 on-site resources as well as off-shore resources. Education Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer science or equivalent required Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred Experience Requirements: 5+ years experience in developing web applications using Java, J2EE, and XML
