Sears Holding Corporation is seeking an IT Business Systems Analyst (BSA) that will help us leverage technology and to take our organization to the next level of business analysts. The BSA plays a key role in ensuring that the Analytics organization continues to be a valued and trusted technology partner to the business. We are looking for an IT professional with enterprise level business analyst experience and a passion for delivering great customer service. This role requires an individual who continually looks for new ways to use technology to improve or automate existing business processes. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping our organization succeed in delivering quality services and customer satisfaction. Professionalism, excellent communication skills, and strong problem solving abilities are essential. Responsibilities • Partner with SHC Business Units in capturing requirements, features, and functions. • Elicit requirements using interviews, data analysis, business process descriptions, stories, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis. • The BSA will act as a liaison between product development, technology, and internal business units. • The BSA will also play a role in developing/validating source target mappings and transformation logic required to support information requirements. • The business analyst may also assist in identifying data quality problems and in determining options for how they will be handled. The BSA will also play a role in testing and validation and in delivering user training and communications • Become a subject matter expert on our data, processes, and business methodologies • Collect multiple streams of data and decompose them into concise specifications • Collaborate with technical experts and business units to determine the best possible reporting mechanisms • Assist in the creation of deliverables that are developed jointly with the user and the Product Development. Includes product definition, logical design (business process and rules, data elements and flows, screens and reports), implementation plan, and documentation and training needs. • Counsel and advise users on system capabilities and processes applicable systems Skills and Experience • Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience • Minimum 5 years of experience in a BSA role, 3 years in Analytics/Business Intelligence areas • Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL and working in a big data environment. • Working experience in a Agile/Scrum environment is preferred • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other department personnel • Must have solid verbal and written communication, organization, and time management skills • Must be "self-motivated" as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems • Must be collaborative in driving decisions with the ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail Personal Characteristics: • Passion to proactively seek ways to improve processes • Self-confidence to be assertive when taking a position and can constructively resolve problems • Creative, resourceful and innovative at tackling complex challenges • Self taught and self-teaching, with a demonstrated aptitude for acquiring knowledge and skills and new technologies readily • Organized and self-directing with the ability to identify priorities and mobilize projects in an orderly fashion to achieve desired results • Exceptional Analytical and problem solving skills • The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts A comprehensive and competitive benefit program is designed to meet the needs of our associates and their families.
