This position is responsible for managing project requirements gathering, development and implementation. This role will build expertise within the project teams and use that knowledge to rapidly develop functionality and applications. This position will over see the detail and design activities and track project milestones for successful completion of the projects. In addition, this role will interact with the training department to develop and execute training plans for their associates. The online channel is a key focus area for the company and is growing at an aggressive rate, creating an exciting workplace and utilizing your skills to their potential • Rapidly develop functionality and applications • Lead on shore and off shore web development teams that delivers within budget and on time • Drive innovation and apply concepts to project work • Produce detailed documentation for applications and project work • Leverage off shore resources as fully functional team members • Ensure a strong off shore development process is in place • Provide timely and relevant information and critical thinking that is useful in the broader strategic and business planning process • Develop process for continuous development for on and off shore work • Ensure complete architecture for a major subsystem • Communicate project status, tracking milestones towards progress • Develop discipline strategy that fully involves other disciplines, such as Program Management, Test, or Support, as appropriate, which results in agreement across a product about areas of ownership and overlap • Anticipate risks in plans and schedules and provide clear mitigation strategies, which enable efficient project implementation and on-time delivery against milestones • Ensure product team results meet product-line and business objectives and standards for security, scalability, reliability, quality, and customer value • Demonstrate customer/partner satisfaction is top priority by ensuring product commitments and processes align and deliver on customer/partner satisfaction objectives • Prioritize customer issues (hot fixes, service packs, and so on) for the group and solve customer problems; Make sure that teams thoroughly understand the customer's business, including current and future needs • Work cross functionally with all teams to maximize resource effectiveness • Diagnose difficult, ambiguous, and highly contentious product and project or strategy issues involving multiple groups and make compelling recommendations to senior management about how to resolve them • Organize and optimize resources to address group commitments, which eliminate ambiguity and help the group succeed • Build subject matter expertise in application areas • Remove obstacles, clarify issues, and build consensus to facilitate timely decisions across all disciplines, which enable the team to meet quality standards, project schedules, and business objectives • Develop training plans for all associates;Identify, coach, and develop high performers; Take responsibility for ensuring the group's success, while actively supporting other groups' needs and agendas • Appropriately align the group with other product teams and disciplines and ensure deliverables are compatible with those of other groups • Effectively negotiate with all other disciplines about commitments and hold them accountable • Delegate ownership of tasks appropriately • Define, communicate, and reinforce performance standards for the group • 5-10 years experience leading a team of developers ; 10+ years analysis, design and coding skills; 5-10 years experience in building applications • Experience in conducting fair, effective team performance evaluations, including managers, representing teams to senior managers, and accurately communicate ratings to team • Strong leadership capabilities, communication skills & client facing skills. • Proactively mentoring team members and others across the organization to improve their performance; developing training plans for all associates; Identifying, coaching, and developing high performers A comprehensive and competitive benefit program is designed to meet the needs of our associates and their families.
