The Branch Lead is responsible for personally contributing to the productivity and sales of the unit for at least 50% of the time while also assisting in the scheduling, training, coaching, and development of a small team of Consultative Sales associates in those units with annual revenue less than $800,000. The incumbent may also work in a branch with annual revenue greater than $800,000 as an assistant to the Branch Manager.
Responsibilities ·Spends 50% of time (at a minimum) selling and/or receiving merchandise, stocking or replenishing areas, and maintaining a professional unit. ·Responsible for individualized sales goals. Sets example with own personal sales achievements. ·Responsible for ensuring unit sales and revenue goals are met and are in alignment with payroll expenditures. ·Conducts associate observations and provides one-on-one feedback and "hands on" training to increase sales in accordance with unit goals. ·Maintains building and equipment by ensuring loss prevention/security/safety policies are followed. ·Conducts safety and security audits; identifies and implements business solutions to address safety and security issues. ·Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through process development and management. ·Provides input to the District Operations Manager, District Sales Manager or Branch Manager to recruit, select, develop and retain Consultative Sales associates. ·Assists in development and implementation of weekly schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels. ·Partners with DOM/DSM/Branch Manager in establishing and conveying expectations to associates and for measuring performance and productivity levels using Sales Metrics goals. ·Provides daily coaching and training for consultative sales associates. ·Provides input to the District Operations Manager, District Sales Manager or Branch Manager for annual Performance Evaluations. ·Provides input on disciplinary actions and terminations. ·Participates in associate accident investigations to identify and correct root causes. ·Performs additional duties as needed. Skill/Experience Requirements ·One year supervisory experience. ·Strong Leadership, administrative, organizational, managerial and communication skills. ·Demonstrated analytical ability to gather and interpret information, and develop, recommend and implement solutions
