GENERAL SUMMARY: The Installer III position drives truck over established route to deliver and provide basic installation of products. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Deliver and install appliance and/or plumbing product. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Successfully passes Installer III certification testing. • Drives truck to deliver appliances and plumbing products to homes or other locations. • This skilled craftsman installs all of the built-in professional product line to include built in cooking, down draft products, built-in refrigeration, European dishwashers, custom ventilation plus all products listed in Level I & II. • Conducts field estimates of jobs requiring labor only (product previously sold or third party installations) • Writes customer orders, collects for C.O.D. orders and provides product operation instructions. • Records sales and/or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record. Listens to and resolves service complaints. • Loads truck. • Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. • Helps out on other routes that may be running behind after finishing their own work at the direction of the Warehouse Manager • Cleans inside of truck. • Performs routine inspections on vehicle. • The Level III Installer supervises a team of one (1) Level I and one (1) Level II truck reporting to him/her for direction and answers to questions concerning installation problems. The Level III will contact the Installation Manager for guidance in resolving any problem he/she can not handle. • Ethics: Treats people with respect and keeps commitments. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. • Must be in position for 1 year before being able to certify for Lead Custom Installer. • Excellent driving record. • Must have current drivers license. • Must provide a copy of a clean DMV report. • Must be able to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. • Ability to lift and move products up to 600 lbs. (with proper equipment). • Familiarity with delivery trade area.
