Under the direction of the Technical Manager, the incumbent will provide tech assist functions on service calls, shuttle necessary parts and supplies for service repair completion for repair technicians. Email our recruitment department at: technicianrecruit@searshomepro.com or call 1-877-827-9419 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : • Ride with or meet Technician at designated locations to assist with on service calls when assigned • Follow directions from the service technician during service call • Shuttle parts and supplies to Technician when applicable • Work as a dedicated team member to ensure fast, flexible and expert service to every customer • Assist the service technician in the completion of the repair • Adhere to all company policies and procedures • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Education/Training: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and be willing to submit to random drug testing, per company policy Experience: • Mechanical aptitude helpful Role specific abilities/skills: • Required to have reliable transportation/vehicle to drive to and from job sites • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing in an effective manner with co-workers, managers and consumers. • Ability to aid physically the service technician in the handling of appliances or equipment to be repaired • Ability to apply appropriate safety procedures and equipment to protect company and customer assets • Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs. • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, stretching, twisting, reaching and climbing. • Ability to drive/travel long distances of 5 hours plus. • Ability to drive in various weather conditions for long periods of time and in various demographic areas. • Must be able to access interior and exterior landscapes. • Ability to access different levels of terrain while performing duties A comprehensive and competitive benefit program is designed to meet the needs of our associates and their families.
