The Sales Manager is the front-line manager in the parts and repair center. The SM is responsible for maximizing parts and carry-in revenues and profits by consistently meeting or exceeding every customer's expectations, creating a high performance team, providing the right part, repair and merchandise solutions, identifying and solving business issues, and setting high standards and following through on executions.

• Personally demonstrate and take accountability for excellent customer service. • Act with urgency to meet customers' needs and solve their problems and develop associates' commitment to act with urgency. • Utilizes Customer Enthusiasm surveys to educate associates and develop their customer service skills. • Use payroll planner to ensure appropriate staffing to customer transaction patterns. • Coach associates to develop their product knowledge, customer service skills and business literacy. • Provide constructive feedback to all unit associates via performance review process. • Actively recruit and retain dependable, diverse, and customer-focused associates. • Listens to and shares ideas and information with associates. • Establish performance goals for all sales associates and hold them accountable. • Demonstrate a passion for "being in stock" and be an aggressive merchant looking for sales opportunities. • Aggressively merchandise sales floor to drive revenues via effective implementation of the Monthly Sales floor Planner. A• ctively support the Carry-in selling process via consistent execution at point of sale. • Conduct bi-weekly competitive shops to identify best practices and to discover trends and opportunities. Utilizes the information to drive business. • Make fact-based decisions, but exercise creativity and take responsible risks to find lasting solutions to entrenched problems. • Is financially literate; has the ability to understand the "why's" behind performance indicators. • Set standards for associate product knowledge; help associates meet standards by delivering/executing all product training. • Follow and ensure compliance of the Code of Conduct. • Active presence on the sales floor 90% of the week. • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for prolonged periods of time.
