About the Fire Co.: Seat Pleasant Volunteer Fire Co. enjoys a rich, 97 year history of providing fire suppression, emergency medical service, and community support in our city of 6,800 residents.

As a founding member of the Prince Georges County Volunteer Fire Association, we respond as part of the Prince Georges County Fire Department to emergency and non-emergency requests for service in Seat Pleasant, Capitol Heights, District Heights, Ritchie, Fairmont Heights and Largo, Maryland. Our companies first-due encompasses a total of 5.5 square miles, serving 250,000 citizens.

In the first nine months of 2012, our fire suppression apparatus responded to 1,970 calls for service, and our ambulance answered 2,860 alarms.
