The Marketing Manager (STWP or STDN) is responsible for executing and implementing marketing programs in support of strategic business unit objectives (STWP or STDN). The role will be part of the corporate marketing group, as a direct report into the Marketing Director – Water Purification. The role will require a close working relationship with the communications manager, business unit general manager(s) and appointed internal/external sales and business development agents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage and execute delivery of the business unit marketing plans including determining target markets, marketing objectives, communication strategy and campaign scheduling and budgetary management in support of strategic marketing plan and business unit objectives.
Manage the business unit marketing budget.
Manage any communications required for customers or media during crisis management/ business continuity situations; working closely with the business unit communications manager to execute delivery of material when required.
Undertake marketing research and market assessments to support the development of the business unit marketing strategy.
Indentify and execute customer research programs, including existing satisfaction measurement, customer forums to inform marketing strategy, customer behavior monitoring and more.
Design tools and techniques for measuring customer spend and profitability, enabling customers and prospects to be prioritized.
Develop coherent positioning strategy for the business units, including market proposition and offering and recommendations for different positioning strategies by customer segment if required.
Competitor and market place monitoring and analysis; including providing regular updates to the business unit.
Plan, promote, and support execution of business unit sales meetings, customer events and goodwill events
Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions
A degree level qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred. Should include budget management experience, experience in managing marketing communication campaigns, and experience working with and supporting a multi-disciplinary group. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Powerpoint.
3-5 years marketing experience required.
