A client of ours, a top-tier firm, is looking for a Business Analyst to be based in New York, NY.

The responsibilities of the Business Analyst will include:

  Investigating and resolving software issues and defects reported by business users

  
  


• 
  

  Analyzing and documenting business requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Working with technical analysts to research problems and find and implement solutions

  
  


• 
  

  Testing software to ensure it meets specifications and identifying any defects

  
  


• 
  

  Supporting business users in the processing of business events

  
  


• 
  

  Running simulations of business event processing

  
  


• 
  

  Communicating issues and status to management

  
  


• 
  

  Working with the Project Management Office in order to construct and maintain a project plan

  Bachelor's degree in IT, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized college or university highly preferred

  
  


• 
  

  4 to 5 years of experience as a support analyst

  
  


• 
  

  2 to 3 years of experience working with planning tools (e.g., MS Project) and analysis/reporting tools, such as Oracle, SOL, Crystal Reports, MS Access, and MS Excel

  
  


• 
  

  2 to 3 years demonstrated ability performing project management activities

  
  


• 
  

  Proven skill in accounting and supporting a complicated system integration initiative

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency with Flash Media Server 3 preferred

  
  


• 
  

  In-depth knowledge of procurement business processes and practices

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
