The responsibilities of the Business Analyst will include:

  Developing proposals for small to medium projects

  Identifying, tracking, escalating, and resolving business system issues

  
  


• 
  

  Assessing, researching, analyzing, and documenting sponsor/stakeholder needs in accordance with the Project Life Cycle utilizing reporting tools and requirements

  
  


• 
  

  Recommending business solutions

  
  


• 
  

  Developing detailed plans and accurate estimates for the completion of the requirements phase of the project

  
  


• 
  

  Identifying risks and creating mitigation strategies

  
  


• 
  

  Determining the best combination of development, interfacing applications, and third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives

  Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS/IT, or related discipline

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of 5 years experience in trading or trading technology

  
  


• 
  

  Advanced knowledge of North American and international equities trading and settlement processes

  
  


• 
  

  In-depth understanding of buy-side and sell-side Order Management Systems, Direct Market Access Platforms, Allocation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with electronic trading tools, including black box trading, algorithmic trading, basket trading, hedge trading, arbitrage trading, dark pool trading, and smart order routing

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of derivative products, proprietary and agency trading, FIX protocol, and market data processing

  
  


• 
  

  Middle and Back Office Equity trade processing preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with requirements methods, including interviewing, data modeling, business process modeling, business object modeling, and user interface design

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with requirements methodologies, including Use Cases, RUP (Rational Unified Process), and the traditional waterfall approach
