Description


A client of ours, a top-tier financial firm, is looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to be based in New York, NY.


The responsibilities of the Credit Risk Analyst will include:




  • Evaluating, testing, implementing, and updating rating models across a broad range of sectors




  • Coordinating model reviews and updating with internal model developers, validation, IT, external vendors, supply management, and other relevant stakeholders




  • Ensuring rating models and rating approach meets standards and requirements by conducting periodic self-assessment against internal policies and external requirements




  • Reviewing quarterly ratings variance reports to highlight differences between internal and external/model ratings and providing qualitative analysis on the differences




  • Updating credit policies, guidelines, and procedures in line with internal processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements




  • Assisting in planning for risk reviews, including developing samples preparing package for review by senior team members and coordinating onsite reviews with regional teams

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline




  • Considerable risk management experience, preferably within financial, rating agency, consulting, or audit environment




  • Understanding of fundamental or credit risk management, probability of default concept, and credit rating methodologies




  • In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, banking products, and capital market products




  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem resolution abilities




  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
