A client of ours, a top-tier financial firm, is looking for a Business Analyst to be based in New York, NY.

The responsibilities of the Business Analyst will include:

• 
  

  Collaborating with global stakeholders in understanding and translating requirements to the underlying data

  
  


• 
  

  Performing business analysis to help define solution options and recommendations, including pros/cons and rationale for recommendations

  
  


• 
  

  Creating, maintaining, and reviewing business/functional requirements with stakeholders prior to achieving signoff

  
  


• 
  

  Identifying and assisting in the resolution of risks and issues that will adversely affect planned project milestones

  
  


• 
  

  Creating project initiation documents and use cases, including diagrams for end-to-end current/future business process flows

  
  


• 
  

  Developing QA (Quality Assurance) plans and test cases and coordinating UAT (User Acceptance Testing)

  
  


• 
  

  Ensuring process improvements through redesign

  
  


• 
  

  Tracking and presenting metrics analysis

  Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline

  Experience developing and writing business/functional requirements and analyzing graphical and quantitative data

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile Development Cycle, and Investment Banking Operations processes

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to analyze client reference data and make recommendations to ensure data quality and appropriate controls

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency with MS Office Suite

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, and oral and written communication skills

  
  


• 
  

  Six Sigma experience a plus
