A client of ours, a top-tier financial firm, is looking for an ION Analyst to be based in New York, NY.

The responsibilities of the ION Analyst will include:

• 
  

  Building two UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and PAT (Production Acceptance Testing) environments

  
  


• 
  

  Configuring ION and WINFITS components

  
  


• 
  

  Managing connections to the ECN (Electronic Communication Network) markets

  
  


• 
  

  Plumbing the components to SQL databases

  
  


• 
  

  Installing ION on a platform and configuring the platform accordingly

  
  


• 
  

  Providing trouble-shooting and support

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline

  
  


• 
  

  Extensive knowledge of ION.Net, MMI.Net, and WINFITS.Net

  
  


• 
  

  Hands-on skills with installation, configuration, and deployment on the ION platform, gateways, and components using the ION SysAdmin Tool

  
  


• 
  

  Strong understanding on Daemon Master/Slave topology, installation, configuration, and migration

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with SQL 2005 and SQL statements to construct reports, components connectivity, JOINS, etc.

  
  


• 
  

  Skill working with Windows (2003, 2008), LINUX (SUSE 11, RHEL 5.8), TCP/IP, HTTPS, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SCP, IBM MQ Series, XP, and Windows7

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshooting skills at network and server levels for application connectivity and functionality

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent technical, analytical, problem resolution, and communication skills
