A client of ours, a top-tier financial firm, is looking for a Mandatory Corporate Actions Specialist to be based in Jersey City, NJ.

The responsibilities of the Mandatory Corporate Actions Specialist will include:

  Working as part of a team handling the processing of mandatory corporate actions and redemptions

  
  


• 
  

  Monitoring corporate action, redemption, and interest announcements for timeliness and quality

  
  


• 
  

  Generating appropriate bookkeeping to entitled holders

  
  


• 
  

  Reconciling and resolving payables and receivables, including fail monitoring and physical certificate processing

  
  


• 
  

  Performing risk analysis and mitigation

  
  


• 
  

  Assisting in process improvement initiatives and process documentation

  
  


• 
  

  Compiling and distributing various management and regulatory reports

  Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline

  In-depth knowledge of DTCC corporate action and redemption processing routines, systems, and methods

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with corporate action/redemption processing, including depository reconciliation, interim accounting, fail tracking, and claims processing

  
  


• 
  

  Experience documenting process flows and creating policy and procedure documents

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of process drivers and vendor announcement sources

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent research, analytical, problem resolution, and communication skills
