A client of ours, a top-tier financial firm, is looking for a Control Unit Manager to be based in New York, NY.

The responsibilities of the Control Unit Manager will include:

  Coordinating new businesses and process sign off on behalf of the operations division

  
  


• 
  

  Reviewing, overseeing, and auditing monthly balance sheet sign off process

  
  


• 
  

  Working closely with internal and external auditors, monitoring outstanding points, and challenging and escalating issues

  
  


• 
  

  Overseeing new account process and monitoring internal accounts

  
  


• 
  

  Supervising attestation process and challenging controls

  
  


• 
  

  Overseeing reconciliations and ensuring all reconciliations are complete with relevant level of escalation and guidance

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding IT related issues and the manner in which they relate to operations as well as acting as a point of contact for facilitation and escalation of potential issues

  
  


• 
  

  Reviewing journal entries

  Bachelor's degree

  Proficiency with MS Office Suite

  Detail oriented
