A client of ours, a top-tier financial firm, is looking for an OTC Clearing Specialist to be based in New York, NY.

The responsibilities of the OTC Clearing Specialist will include:

  Investigate and resolve OTC Derivative trade breaks either with the counterparty or the exchanges

  
  


• 
  

  Provide business expertise through all stages of the life cycle event, communicate procedures and practices, and ensure a successful implementation

  
  


• 
  

  Validate trade and cash transactions and work closely with the processing teams and other internal areas to ensure timely and accurate security and cash settlement

  
  


• 
  

  Responding to sales persons' inquiries regarding the capabilities of their clearing, operations, and platform

  
  


• 
  

  Assisting in clearing platform design, configuration, and testing

  
  


• 
  

  Reviewing the current business process and workflow as well as studying existing internal systems to evaluate their current effectiveness

  
  


• 
  

  Producing accurate, clear, concise, and relevant documentation based on requirements and information that was gathered from the stakeholders and subject matter experts

  
  


• 
  

  Conducting reconciliation of OTC and collateral positions with brokers and custodian banks

  In-depth understanding of OTC Clearing Operations with heavy derivatives and some futures

  Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  Skill in delivering client and technology implementation solutions from planning to implementation

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with one of the major exchanges

  
  


• 
  

  Skills or experience with project management preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency with MS Excel
