Description


A client of ours, a top-tier firm, is looking for a Performance Test Engineer to be based in New York, NY.  


The responsibilities of the Performance Test Engineer will include:




  • Testing and monitoring the performance of various Human Resources and Payroll applications and their underlying Windows and UNIX infrastructure




  • Building, maintaining, executing, and evaluating a wide range of automated scripts




  • Writing stress, volume, and performance test scripts from existing business scenarios as well as automated and manual functional test scripts




  • Monitoring the performance of the internal infrastructure

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline




  • Minimum 4 years of expert knowledge of HP LoadRunner




  • Intermediate skill with BMC Performance Manager and ipswitch WhatsUp Gold (IT management software)




  • Strong SQL, database, and UNIX O/S knowledge




  • C++ programming experience




  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Performance testing with strong test automation background




  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills




  • Understanding of PeopleSoft Implementations a plus
