A client of ours, a top-tier firm, is looking for a Production Support Administrator to be based in Torrance, CA.

The responsibilities of the Production Support Administrator will include:

• 
  

  Providing Change Management, Operation, and Infrastructure Coordination support

  
  


• 
  

  Receiving and analyzing monitoring alerts as well as modifying/adding monitoring alerts

  
  


• 
  

  Following up on all open support issues

  
  


• 
  

  Specifying requirements for new services, changes to existing services

  
  


• 
  

  Maintaining all 3rd party software components used in the hosting network

  
  


• 
  

  Monitoring the utilization within the network to ensure all web applications are running as expected and server capacity measurements are within approved guidelines

  
  


• 
  

  Configuring and maintaining all web application configurations

  
  


• 
  

  Deploying all web application and web service updates as required

  Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline

  Minimum of 4 years experience as Web Hosting Support Engineer providing Application Development Support

  
  


• 
  

  Experience providing system administration support for servers, storage, and networking components

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with installing/loading operating system software and images, troubleshooting, maintaining integrity, and configuring network components

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of Microsoft Windows 2003/2008 servers, Repliweb R1 Publishing Tool, VMWare, and managing Akamai Content Caching

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of networking devices, including routers, firewalls, load balancers

  
  


• 
  

  Hands on experience with IIS and website hosting for Microsoft .Net applications

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent technical, analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
