A client of ours, a top-tier financial firm, is looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to be based in New York, NY.

The responsibilities of the Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will include:

  Developing test cases and ensuring high quality of delivered products

  
  


• 
  

  Designing, implementing, and documenting Quality Assurance (QA) test scripts, ensuring complete functional test coverage

  
  


• 
  

  Supporting all test activities, including enhancing, developing, and executing manual and automated test scripts

  
  


• 
  

  Recording and tracking software discrepancies

  
  


• 
  

  Working with project stakeholders and developers to ensure that all aspects of the system have proper testing coverage and overall system reliability, performance, and quality

  
  


• 
  

  Ensuring that all domain knowledge and test cases are articulated and structured well to enable swift execution by any other member of the QA team

  
  


• 
  

  Executing test cases and managing resources to ensure quality releases of changes to the productions environment

  Bachelor's Degree

  In depth experience in writing and executing test plans

  Ability to generate test cases from requirements and technical specifications

  Familiarity with software development and test life cycle

  Proficiency with Windows and UNIX

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of database design and capability to use SQL for data retrieval and manipulation

  
  


• 
  

  Aptitude using test automation tools

  
  


• 
  

  Skill scripting and increasing usage of automation to reduce testing lead times
