A client of ours, a top-tier financial firm, is looking for a Senior Network Engineer/Architect to be based in New York, NY.

The responsibilities of the Senior Network Engineer/Architect will include:

  Evaluating the current network design and identifying any gaps

  
  


• 
  

  Making detailed designs and recommendations for network enhancements

  
  


• 
  

  Ensuring network stability and redundancy

  
  


• 
  

  Monitoring the network for problems and alerting of any problems

  A strong knowledge of network architecture, deployment, and management

  Skill with Cisco and Arista switches and routers

  Understanding of Firewall configuration and administration

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of WAN connectivity, LAN connectivity, WDM networks, Ethernet, TCP-IP, UDP, and NICs

  
  


• 
  

  Latency Capacity planning, measurement and monitoring

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with server appliance connectivity, driver configurations and tuning, and data center and infrastructure design

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with rack, power and cabling design and considerations
