A client of ours, a top-tier firm, is looking for a Senior QA (Quality Assurance) Engineer to be based in Los Angeles, CA.

The responsibilities of the Senior QA Engineer will include:

  Communicating testing status, concerns, and risks to development and product teams

  
  


• 
  

  Creating, updating, and maintaining test cases, documentation, requirements, analysis, and clarification

  
  


• 
  

  Collaborating with development and product team to identify, escalate, and track defects

  
  


• 
  

  Identifying problems with code or SQA processes and delivering problem resolution

  
  


• 
  

  Monitoring and maintaining site performance metrics

  
  


• 
  

  Executing performance monitoring and validating results

  
  


• 
  

  Performing cross browser testing with front and backend verification and capturing and tracking defects using bug tracking software

  Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline

  
  


• 
  

  Background working in an eCommerce environments

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with REST API technologies, HTTP, Akamai server technology, JavaScript, CSS, and JQuery

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of requirements based testing, analysis, test coverage, requirements traceability, and clarification

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of SQA (Software Quality Assurance) methodologies, test case management system, and SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle)

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Unix shell, PHP, Perl, or Ruby

  
  


• 
  

  Database experience, working primarily with My SQL

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent technical, analytical, problem resolution, and communication abilities
