A client of ours, a top-tier firm, is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to be based in Torrance, CA.

The responsibilities of the Senior QA Engineer will include:

  Creating test plans and documenting results

  
  


• 
  

  Verifying the accuracy and performance of software programs

  
  


• 
  

  Developing a Failure Analysis Report

  
  


• 
  

  Analyzing failures, determining cause and responsibility, and initiating corrective actions on returned products as well as internal process failures

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshooting inaccuracies or problems and recommending improvements

  
  


• 
  

  Assisting with developing standards and procedures

  
  


• 
  

  Monitoring QA testing to assure products meet design specifications and quality management limits and standards

  
  


• 
  

  Participating in supplier audits and corrective actions

  Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of 10 years experience as a QA Engineer working with development teams in a hardware and software environment

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of 3 years experience testing and auditing DO-178 B processes

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity creating formal quality, test, and inspection plans and documenting results

  
  


• 
  

  Knowledge of complete Hardware system analysis, design, implementation, testing, and regression testing

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with Configuration Management systems and processes

  
  


• 
  

  Strong technical and both verbal and written communication skills
