The responsibilities of the Systems administrator will include:

  Supporting a wide range of technology, including a mixed Linux/Windows environment, a sophisticated network, and an advanced telecommunications infrastructure

  
  


• 
  

  Troubleshooting complex problem reports and requests

  
  


• 
  

  Managing and executing software and hardware upgrades

  
  


• 
  

  Maintaining various infrastructure-level systems

  
  


• 
  

  Improving automation and efficiency

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a strong GPA

  Considerable experience in enterprise environments, such as large finance firms, technology companies, or university IT labs

  Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux server administration and account/file/process management

  
  


• 
  

  Familiarity with shell scripts or programming languages, such as Python and Perl

  
  


• 
  

  Experience managing a computer grid environment

  
  


• 
  

  Exposure to storage technologies

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
