Description
Our consultants play a pivotal role in the ongoing delivery of client solutions through a range of consulting and product-led interventions. The role of Consultant is varied, with the primary focus being on delivery of our products and services to clients. Some of the core responsibilities of the role include: Professional services project delivery and project management, including:
- Consulting work with clients, which may cover
- Assessment (e.g. Assessment Centres, Restructure/Redundancy, Executive Assessment, 360 Feedback, report writing)
- Development (e.g. Development Centres, Peer Coaching, Team Alignment, Action Learning)
- Design (e.g. Talent Management Frameworks, Competency Frameworks, Assessment or Development Intervention Design, Role Profiling, Performance Management Systems)
- Test Design (e.g. OPQ bespoke reports, Talent Screeners, Realistic Job Previews, Quicksift, Validation etc)
- Training delivery for standard public courses or in-house customised/bespoke training (Occupational Testing, OPQ, Assessment Centres and Development Centre Design, Assessor Training, Competency Design and Job Analysis, Competency Based Interviewing, 360 feedback etc).
- Working with clients to think about their end-to-end recruitment process, including applicant tracking, and identifying where SHL solutions might add maximum value
Project Management, including:
- Planning, managing time effectively
- Co-ordinating other consultants/associates in the delivery of work
- Monitoring performance against deadlines
Knowledge management, including:
- Keeping abreast of market trends and evolving client needs and using this to deliver client solutions
- Ensuring leverage and re-use of knowledge to fulfil client engagements
- Maintaining own product knowledge of new and existing products including all new delivery mechanisms along with proactive professional development based on priorities agreed in personal development plan
- Attendance at agreed professional development/training activities to extend related knowledge and technical skills.
Desired skills and Experience :
- Degree in Psychology, preferably a masters in Occupational Psychology
- Likely to be Occupational Psychologist or have an equivalent qualification in the HR field
- Experience of implementing assessment and development solutions with a measurable impact for clients
- Strong background in assessment and development in the workplace and/or SHL's product suite
- A persuasive and credible networker - with skills to develop existing opportunities and leverage new ones
- A high achiever with enthusiasm and resilience
- A strong team player
- Some travel in is likely to be required
