Data Virtualization Developer

We are looking for a Data Virtualizationdeveloper to work on next-generation data science technologies with SNEI. As a member of the SNEI Data Analytics Services team responsible for designing, developing next gen DV solutions for integrating data across multiple source systems including OLTP, Sonic-MQ, Data Warehouse, and Hadoop Ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Develop new Data Virtualization solutions integrating data from across multiple source systems within Sony’s environment. Participate and contribute in business & technical requirement gathering meetings and design sessions.
Qualifications:

* Minimum requirements include at least 3-5 years of Data Virtualization(Composite CIS preferred) development experience in a large scale global ecommerce environment
Experience in Java development
Experience with ETL tools and processes
Must be self-starter, strong problem solving and analytic skills,
*
Ability to learn new technologies and apply them to complex business problems in a timely manner
*
Ability to work with globally distributed, diverse engineering team
Ability to independently research and solve complex technical problems conclusively
*
Ability to performance tune large data extractions and transformations for real time applications
Technical Requirements:

Must have professional 3 years of work experience with the following:

*
Experience with a Data Virtualization Tool (Composite, Denodo or similar technology)
*
Hands on experience with traditional DW EAI ELT ETL tools and processes(Informatica Preferred)
*
SQL programming and tuning experience on Oracle Exedata
*
Java Programming for large scale data processing and analysis
*
Big Data Tools Experience (Hadoop, BigQuery, NoSQL, Pig, Hive, Sqoop, Avro, Google Protocol Buffers etc.,)
Exposure with the below technologies will be considered a plus:

*
Open source Data Mining tools(Mahout, R, etc)
*
Data Visualization (QlikView, Microstrategy, Tableau, Spotfire)
*
Working in a fast passed Scrum Team(story writing, kanban boards, etc)
