Lead Cloud Automation Engineer

Job Summary:The Lead Cloud
Automation Engineer will bepart of newly formed
Entertainment Cloud Software group responsible for delivering cloud centric
software for Sony devices. This person is responsible for building end-2-end
test cases from ground zero to exercise various aspects of software services.
You will have the opportunity to work with very passionate engineers and also
get a chance to work with cutting edge cloud based technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Significantly participate in
the automation framework for cloud services group.
* Automate testing of content
ingestion from variety of sources.
* Assist with building and
automating of end-2-end test scenarios and simulate device behaviors via
tests.
* Assist with nightly build run
of tests using Jenkins.
* Work with limited supervision
under tight time constraints with changing requirements.
* Familiar and comfortable with
agile development methodology.
* Strong written and verbal
communication skills.
* A team player who does not need
extensive supervision.
* Ability to work collaboratively
with developers and testers in achieving common goals.

Qualifications:

* 7 years of experience in
testing large scale content based systems.
* 2 years of experience acting
in a Lead function.
* Seriously
passionate about test automation.
* Strong background in white-box
testing methodology and automation.
* Multiple years of Java
development experience is required.
* A good understanding of object
oriented design and development techniques.
* Experience with REST API’s
required.
* Experience with TestNG/JUnit is
required.
* Experience with Ant and Maven
is required.
* Experience with Unix/Linux is
required.
* Experience with Web Servers
(Apache, Tomcat, MySQL) is desired.
* Experience with scripting is a
big plus (Shell Script, Python, Perl, and/or Ruby).
* Experience with AWS/S3 a plus.
* Knowledge of relational
databases, Solr, and cloud software is a plus.
* BS Computer Science or
equivalent.
