Job Summary:The Sony Network Entertainment Senior Software
Engineer will be part of a newly formed Entertainment Cloud Software group
responsible for delivering cloud based network software services for Sony
devices.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with building server centric cloud based web
tools for recommendations, event log, and admin insights.

• Assist with monitoring dashboard for KPIs.

• Assist with analyzing data patterns using Hadoop and
derive interesting facts such as most popular products, trending videos, etc..

• Produce excellent, thorough design and development
documentation

• Work with limited supervision under tight time
constraints with changing requirements

• Familiar and comfortable with agile development
methodology
Qualifications:

•BSinComputer Science or equivalent, MS preferred
• 3 years of experience in Java and development experience
in developing web server applications

• A good understanding of object oriented design and
development techniques

• Knowledge of and/or experience with Php/JSP, Java, Java
Script, HTML, Ajax, and other UI technologies

• Experience with scripting is a big plus (Python, Perl,
Ruby)

• Knowledge of Hadoop is a big plus

• Experience with Web Servers (Apache, Tomcat)

• Experience with AWS/S3 a plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
