SOS Children's Villages-USA is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC that raises funds for SOS Children's Villages International. These funds go to over 500 SOS villages in 133 countries around the world to provide permanent, loving homes for children orphaned or abandoned because of AIDS, war, poverty, environmental disasters, or political unrest. Each home is part of a village, and each child has a loving mother - often for the first time in his or her life.
