Description

Under the director of the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Director of Finance is responsible for the operations of St. Francis Medical Center’s Revenue Cycle, Labor Steering Committee and the Accounting department. Which develops and monitors financial policies and procedures. The accounting department is responsible to do budgets, worked closely with PFS to increase reimbursement through the Revenue Cycle committee working closely with contracted payers and government entities including Federal, State and County. Assures that all policies and procedures are carried out in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Monitors the financial performance of the hospital’s system in relation to approved budgets, standards and targets; reviews financial and statistical information and directs the preparation of monthly reports as directed by the hospital’s CFO. - Provides leadership and direction in the preparation of the annual hospital budget, working closely with department directors and mangers to create a collaborative arrangement of help and cooperation. - Provides assistant and advice in the preparation of the annual hospital Cost report and the OSHPD report. - Able to plan, coordinate and motivate complex, multi-disciplinary groups, ability to communicate effectively with wide variety of individuals and groups. - Ability to produce results under pressure - Ability to work closely with the hospital’s CFO. Strong service orientation with demonstrated knowledge of accounting and business principles and a sound grasp of evaluation techniques.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required. Master’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, CPA or equivalent preferred.

Must have knowledge of financial management and a contemporary understanding of healthcare trends and issues.

 

Experience:

At least 7 years of healthcare Finance Leadership Experience.

Must demonstrate knowledge and expertise in financial management and awareness of ethical, legal, and faith-based environment are essential.
