SUMMARY OF ROLE

SunPower is seeking a Scheduler to perform tactical scheduling and progress measurement activities for the Antelope Valley Solar Project (AVSP) located in the vicinity of Lancaster, CA. The Scheduler reports to the AVSP Project Planner and will be responsible for creating, updating and revising the Master Integrated Project Schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

–Prepare and maintain the Master Integrated schedule using Primavera P6 incorporating project milestones, subcontractor schedules and all inter-related project activities.
–Periodically update the Master Integrated Project Schedule incorporating feedback from field reports, control account owners, project stakeholders and Subcontractor schedules.
–Work with project teams to identify and sequence key construction activities, create resource and cost-loaded schedules with key materials and resources, setting up the project baseline, updating progress and reporting.
–Develop work around scenarios, critical path, and float analysis, and if required, recovery schedules.
–Provide assistance to the Project Planner for all matters related to scheduling and progress reporting as well as highlighting areas of concern.
–Prepare Level 1, 2 3 Schedule formats for periodic progress reporting and distribution as well as percent complete, productivity analysis, man-hour summaries, progress, and earned value reports.
–Coordinate with other schedulers and project stakeholders.
–Review Subcontractors’ schedule baselines as well as progress reports and schedule updates to ensure alignment to the Master Integrated Project Schedule and that the information provided is accurate and satisfy project requirements.

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements
-Associate or Bachelor degree in Construction Management or Engineering
-Certified Planning Scheduling Professional (PSP)
-5 years of experience in Scheduling Functions, 10 years working in Utility or Heavy Industrial Construction
-Shall exhibit the following expertise:
oScheduling / progress control techniques
oEarned Value Management
oScheduling / progress control tools
oMulti-discipline engineering/construction
oContract Management
oExcellent Communication and Written Skills
-Advanced experience in Primavera P6 v7 including resource and cost loading features
-Advanced use of MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint

Preferred requirements
-Bachelor degree in Construction Management or Engineering
-Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
-10 years of experience in Planning and Scheduling Functions on Power Generation Projects 15 years working in Heavy Industrial Construction
-Experience with Land Use Development and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process
-Shall exhibit the following expertise:
oScheduling / progress control techniques
oEarned Value Management
oScheduling / progress control tools
oMulti-discipline engineering/construction
oContract Management
oNegotiation with Contractors / Suppliers
oExcellent Communication and Written Skills
-Advanced working in Primavera P6 v7 including resource and cost loading features
-Advanced use of MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint

OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION

-Position will be staffed full time at Project site located in the vicinity of Lancaster, CA
-10% of travel required to SunPower Corporate Offices in San Francisco Bay Area
-Assignment will be for approximately three years until AVSP Project Completion
-Candidate must be legally entitled to work and reside in US
