The position would include the immediate stabilization of term, preterm, and very low birth weight (VLBW) infants with all forms of congenital heart disease, immediate post-cardiac catheterization stabilization and management, stabilization and management of the infant on ECMO, as well as, the on going care of the VLBW infant following surgical palliation, including the hybrid procedure. There is an expectation and opportunity to participate in ongoing case reviews, protocol development, and education of residents and hospital staff.

The practice currently has 9 neonatologist, 2 pediatric hospitalists, and 3 NNPs. We are a part of three active resident training programs, including Pediatric and Family practice residents. Additionally, we have nursing and neonatal nurse practitioners’ trainees within the NICU. There are multiple continuous quality improvement projects to be involved with that meet the requirements of the ABP for ongoing Maintenance of Certification. On a personal note, Las Vegas is a great community to live in. It has two major suburbs, Summerlin and Henderson. There are many beautiful planned communities with excellent school systems. Housing is extremely favorable to home buyers. The community offers multiple opportunities for excellent shows, theater, shopping, and dining.*hec
