DescriptionFunctions as the Single Point-of-Accountability for the satisfactory delivery of all IS solutions and services, whether sourced from SHIS or the region, to and on behalf of an assigned region, including acute (hospital) and ambulatory (physician practice) business units/facilities, of varying size, complexity, and operational integration. Provides the leadership direction needed for the planning and implementation of new information technologies and their integration with other SH information technologies, resulting in efficient and cost-effective local and system-wide solutions. Provides oversight of all IS functional activities occurring at or on behalf of the region which includes and is not limited to:
relationship management governance support strategic planning management services fiscal management customer service integration services application services technical services data services project management security/compliance services
Develops, directs, implements, and maintains the IS strategic plan and operational work plan to meet the strategic and tactical goals of the business plan for the region, giving leadership to the deployment of new technologies and software applications. By developing and directing strategic solutions and managing their operational effectiveness, supports the business needs of the region and maximizes the value of information technology throughout the related SH region.
Oversees provision of all IS Client Services activities within the Central Valley Region (CVR): Memorial Medical Center Memorial Hospital at Los Banos Sutter Tracy Community Hospital Sutter Gould Medical Foundation
Specific responsibilities include development and implementation of the regional information services strategic plan, region-wide IS standards, and budgets. This IS executive leads the work of region-wide and affiliate/regional implementation teams to ensure synergy and cooperation within and between the affiliates and region(s) and enterprise SH IS functions. In addition, this position provides the link between affiliates and region executive leadership and the corporate IS functions (SH-IS) and leads regional efforts to use information services to meet quality dashboard goals, increase productivity, improve operational efficiency, and further the organization’s communication and integration of clinical, financial, and administrative information through a comprehensive information network. In conjunction with the regional executives and the SVP/CIO, provides leadership direction needed to maximize the value of Information Services in addressing operational issues (inpatient, ambulatory, administrative, and financial) specific to the region.
