Description
Provides complex database development, maintenance and enhancements in support of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and associated applications.  Lead role in establishing database strategies in support of Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions.  Provides database optimization support to developers building Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions.
 
Key to Sutter's business plan, the role of Sutter Health Information Services is to make electronic data and communications available to Sutter Health employees, providers and patients to support the health and well-being of the community, enhance patient care and safety, and improve business processes and performance. Information Services (IS) key approaches to meet these needs consist of the Applications, Telecommunications, Project Management, Web, and Technology. We continue to review IS optimization across our affiliates, regions and entire enterprise.

Education/Certification/Licensure:
A BA/BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Current MS SQL Server certification is desired
 
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

  

  

·          Relevant work experience as typically acquired 6 to 8 years.

·          Healthcare experience is desired.

·          Working knowledge of presentations, word processing and spreadsheet applications, preferably Microsoft.

·          Data modeling tools and EDW design concepts.

·            Expert experience with Informatica ETL designs and development

·          Database design and tuning.

·          Database back-up and recovery strategies.

·          High availability database design and management.

·          Expertise with export, transform and load tools preferred.

·          Strong working knowledge of data modeling tools.

·          Advanced MS SQL server skills preferred.

·          Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.

·          Ability to develop and deliver training.

·          Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

·          Good organizational, prioritization and time management skills.

·          Strong interpersonal skills with vendors, co-workers and users.

·          Ability to work independently and as a team member.
