The EEG Technician operates and maintains EEG equipment and obtains medical history of patients.  Duties include head measurement, performing recordings and performing clerical office duties.  EEG Technicians must perform effectively in emergency settings.
 
Provides care based on the age related needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient with consideration of their development/psychosocial needs, environmental safety, education needs, communication style, and level of understanding.

Education: High school diploma. General college level background preferred.
Experience: Six (6) months experience performing EEG’s. A minimum of one (1) year experience required to reach a comprehension level.
Knowledge: Understanding of cardiac arrhythmia recognition. Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology preferred.
