Description

The General Radiology Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations of the area they are assigned.  This position reviews the effectiveness of day to day operations to ensure work is completed and manages the performance of employees.  This position is responsible to create and manage staff schedules to assure appropriate levels of resources are available to provide appropriate patient care. Promotes teamwork with providers and employees to create a cohesive, effective team that meets the standards of patient care delivery.  Maintains radiographic equipment.  This position develops departmental capital and operational budgets.  Participates in activities as they impact area supervised.  Recommends and contributes to the development of policies and procedures, budget, interdepartmental communication related to operations supervised.  This position  requires travel to meetings and training throughout the SHCV Region as well as SH meetings held in location outside of the SHCVR.


Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (SGMF)is a non-profit, multi-specialty health care organization affiliated with Sutter Health. Based in Modesto, SGMF provides quality medical care, health education and research activities in a five-county area. SGMF's medical staff includes family practitioners, internists and pediatricians, as well as a range of specialist physicians. Services include imaging, nuclear medicine, a health library, health education programs, occupational medicine, cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes education, nutrition counseling, infertility counseling, and weight management.



Certified Radiologic Technologist with Fluoroscopic Permit. Associate degree in Radiology or related field required or an equivalent combination of education and pertinent/directly related experience (4 years).  Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in the General Radiology.  Knowledge of Radiology workflows and processes. Knowledge of medical terminology.  Knowledge of PACS and RIS.  Knowledge of electronic medical records.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.  Proven leadership skill are required.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language are required.  The ability to motivate and train adults. The ability to deal effectively with all customers including physicians and difficult customer service issues. The ability to accept, implement and evaluate change.  The ability to keep information confidential. Organizational skills are important for this position.  Skills in developing teamwork among members of a multidisciplinary team. The ability to work independently, prioritize work, manage time and workflow to meet deadlines.  The ability to pay attention to detail is important. Skills in the use of Radiographic equipment.  Computer and software skills are a must for this position. The ability to exercise initiative, judgment, problem solving skills.  The ability to understand reports and develop action plans to achieve desired action plans.  The ability to lead a  team and build consensus with employees and physicians.  The ability to complete multiple projects and manage shifting priorities with frequent interruptions.
