Plans and organizes the scrub and preparation aspects in the care of OB surgical patients. Collaborates with the RNs, surgeons and all healthcare team members. Maintains AORN standards of professional nursing practice.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Surgical Technician training preferred
Minimum three year experience in Labor and Delivery as Obstetrical Technician
Basic knowledge of obstetrical/medical terminology is desirable
Knowledge of Aseptic technique
Surgical scrub procedures, use of sterile technique, instruments, and set-up procedures for the delivery/OR room

Knowledge of the anesthesia cart and equipment

Surgical Technician certificate preferred

BLS/NRP REQUIRED
