The Pharmacist ensures that medications, supplies and drug information are furnished to customers in a timely manner in compliance with JCAHO and other regulatory standards; and/or to monitor drug therapy for the pediatric, adult and geriatric patients in accordance with accepted standards, discuss potential problems with medical staff, and documents such interactions for medical staff/pharmacy review. CPMC utilizes a physician order entry system that allows for legible speedy order processing, both cart fill system and PYXIS technology to help distribute patient medications.



Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy and licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of California.
 
Knowledge:
A.     Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
B.     Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks.
C.     Must be able to work in limited space and in high stress areas.
 
Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred.  Must demonstrate knowledge and interest in hospital pharmacy practice.
