A non-profit organization, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) for Health Care, Research and Education is a pioneer in a multi-specialty group practice of medicine and outpatient medicine. The Senior Physician Recruiter is a self starter who provides the sourcing, prescreening, interviewing and recommendation of physician candidates based on practice profile needs and information.  A major responsibility of this position is to drive the process by providing high touch service to both the candidate and the hiring physician from initial contact until the recruitment needs are met.  This position requires collaboration with external and internal customers at all levels in the organization, creativity and thinking outside of the box.

  • Works with hiring physicians to collect practice profile information
  • Sources candidates using several avenues
  • Use identified database to document and update candidate information
  • Conducts extensive telephone introductory interviews with candidates
  • Rank order candidate pool
  • Proactively manages the recruitment process
  • Collects salary expectations from candidates, compares to benchmark data to make informed salary recommendations

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent senior level recruitment experience - physician recruitment experience preferred. Must have effective written and oral communication skills both in person and on the phone.  Physician recruiting database software experience (Kontact Intelligence) is preferred. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced keyboarding skills.  Must be willing and able to travel. Knowledge of employment law.
